Sustainability
Luvata’s vision is to be the leading provider of copper solutions for the benefit of People, Society and the Earth. We are aiming to grow with our customers and to build a better future together for all of us and future generations. The products we produce contribute to sustainability drivers like the green transition, the electrification of our societies and transportation, and healthcare.
While contributing to sustainable change through our products, we also want to pay attention to our own operations and value chains. We have set a target to be carbon neutral by 2045, and we are aiming to use 100% renewable energy by 2035. From the social responsibility perspective, our ambition is to be the preferred employer through continuous improvement of our health, safety and working conditions. We also focus on contributing positively to our communities.
“As a global company, we have the power to contribute positively to a better future, and that is a responsibility we take seriously. We all want to see a more sustainable future, and Luvata is determined to be a force for good in the development of e-mobility, the green transition, electrification and in healthcare and scientific research.
The world is changing rapidly, and with our history of innovation and collaboration, we are well placed to develop technically-demanding products which deliver exactly what is needed and make the most of the resources available to us. This is what drives us, and this is why we have pledged Partnerships with a Promise. We are determined to benefit people, society and the Earth and play our part in building a better tomorrow.”

Sustainability program
To transform words into actions, we are currently building a group-level sustainability program with clear focus areas and targets. We are preparing a detailed plan for how to drive sustainable change in the world and to support our customers’ sustainability ambitions.

Sustainability actions
While building our group-level sustainability program, actions and sustainability initiatives are ongoing throughout Luvata Group. These actions include measures to decrease our use of natural resources, energy saving measures, and community and employee engagement programs, to name a few. Check out some of the highlights via the links below.
Luvata São Paulo: Feels Good to Do Good program
Our people in Luvata São Paulo are proud of their Feels Good to Do Good responsibility program. As the name implies, the purpose of the program is to regularly do good things together for the environment and the surrounding community. For example, under the program, Luvata São Paulo cooks for the homeless every month and has participated in many charity activities such as donating blood and clothes to those in need.

Luvata Pori: Carbon-free Electricity and District Heating
Luvata Pori has switched entirely to using carbon-free district heating produced with renewable energy and carbon-free electricity in its operations. This has significantly reduced Luvata Pori’s greenhouse gas emissions. In the future, the unit aims to increase such energy use even more.

Luvata Malaysia: Back to School Program
Luvata Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s Back to School program supports local students by providing financial assistance to help with their education. By supporting children’s education, Luvata is contributing to the future of the Pasir Gudang community.

Luvata Pori: Renewable Diesel and Fuel Oil
Luvata Pori is located in the copper industrial park in Pori, Finland. Together with other companies in the area, Luvata Pori decided to switch the area's distribution station to renewable fuels. The transition from fossil diesel and fuel oil to renewable alternatives, made entirely from waste and residual materials, marks a major step in promoting environmentally friendly business practices.

Luvata Malaysia: Commitment to Green Electricity
Luvata Malaysia Sdn Bhd is enhancing its sustainability efforts by subscribing to the Green Electricity Tariff (GET) from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and installing a 126 kWp solar photovoltaic system at its main office.
